Whether hunting Aliens, Rebels, Gangs, or other Troopers, it's the Elite Troopers that get the headlines. The problem has always been that there are few of them available, with a limited selection of weaponry. There are however a number of bare-headed troopers well suited to conversion into Beret troopers. With these and the 5 already available you can easily field several teams and be ready for any challenge!
The Team Leader The first is a conversion from the bald officer with pistol.
He doesn't look all that different from the Beret trooper officer with SMG, but he does allow for another individual officer.

NCO The bareheaded NCO provides the basis for a very determined-looking Beret NCO. Because of the binoculars, I also use this figure as the observer/minder/security for a 2-man sniper team, with his hand modified to point at a target. |
Trooper Another basic Trooper with assault rifle/grenade combo to fill out the ranks. You can never have enough basic troopers. You could also take the sniper and modify his weapon to a regular assault rifle combo. |
Sniper The sniper provides a bit of long range striking power. You could also use the Beret trooper firing, and modify his rifle to a sniper's piece. |
Laser Gunner The Laser provides even more long range striking power.
Make sure you provide him with a security team for close-range protection.
| |
The Assault Cannon The assault cannon gives good heavy weapons support. If you want anything else you must do some conversion work... |
Flamethrower It's fun to watch things burn, and the flamethrower gives you the chance.
It's the most complex of the conversions here, but is not really difficult.

The Rotary Cannon The rotary cannon is a frightening piece of equipment. It's merely an assault cannon with a new set of barrels, made from pins & wire. It looks scary, but fun. |
This uses the same basic figure as the trooper: The rifle is cut down, and a barrel made from Milliput & wire is added.
The fuel tanks are made from plastic sprue and pins.
The handle of a lead javelin joins the tanks to the gun.
