Having converted some figures into poorly armed highway scavengers, I now needed to provide them with some transport. In keeping with the source material for my games, it seemed only proper that I build an armed tanker. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a model to suit but I did acquire an old Dinky truck and trailer from a car boot sale. I first removed the box trailer and saved it for another project (Coming soon)

The tank body was made from a large cardboard tube (Chocolate buttons!). Household filler was used to bulk out the two ends which, when dry, were sanded to give a rounded end. I added an improvised cow catcher from plastic card and odds and ends. This would allow the truck to smash through any likely barricade. All that remained was to repaint the model and let everyone climb aboard.
