False Front Buildings
by Kevin Crowe

I have been involved in Post-Apocayptic wargaming for several months now, and I thought Id share some of my recent projects

I've scratch built a good amount of terrain but I wanted to show you some of my stuff based on toy false front buildings. I picked these up at a local discount store for a couple of dollars.

.

I based them on ceramic floor tiles, which can be had for free and are incredibly sturdy.

The floor tile motifs are just painted on.

Both buildings had foam core "add ons" to extend the walls, create ceilings and increase the size of playable area. The details from the toys add to the ambience and the doors still open and close.

I even scratch built a vending machine out of foam core for the Quickee Mart.

Super cool terrain on the cheap!

A false-front building before conversion.

They often come with toy cars to use as extra cover!
